My Love for Sports and how it came to be...............

     Baseball Baseball and Baseball ... who would have thought that this girl from Oklahoma would love the sport but I do....I'll go back a little and give you a little background on my love for sports . I can remember when I was like five or six years old my dad teaching me that OSU was way better then OU and we would taunt the neighbor who was in LOVE with OU... so in my pigtails I would go skipping around saying OSU number 1. This of course made my dad proud thats all I knew so I continued that , not even knowing  what OSU was but I remember the gleam across my dads face when I did it.....GO POKES !
     I remember going to my grandparents house and my grandfather watching the Braves on TV. ( if you ever want your baseball team to be the most watched buy your own TV station what my grandpa used to say.)  We would sit there watching the braves , I am thinking I am about the same age , maybe a tad bit older . My grandpa would be explaining to me the game probably thinking what a waste of time this is but never let on just calmly told me what was going on and why. I fell in love with the sport I would watch games on TV  I still didn't really have a team so I cheered for the braves because of Papa.During this time my love for the cowboys both Osu and Dallas grew...  Insert teenage boys here during these years I didn't pay much attention to sports I did watch my beloved Dallas Cowboys but that was the only team during this time I paid much attention to . It wouldn't really be tell after high school my love for sports would explode this is where I would blame my sweet friend Craig.
    Craig introduced me to fantasy sports and my life would never be the same. It started out with a bunch of friends playing yahoo poker till all hours of the night to waging war over football. Football you pick em would start. Soon after the pick em started baseball started We made what we called cheat sheets graphs my living room looked like draft day in a real locker room. One thing you should know if people would put in the work on real things like they do in fantasy sports world hunger would end . None the less my love for baseball hit its peak and I was what they called hooked. I still didn't have a team and Craig said sit on it and just see what comes at you. So we drafted our baseball teams and I am looking at free agents and Darin Erstad hits my eyes . I pick him up with the most protest to my friend but Of course I knew what i was doing and proceeded to tell him don't work Darin's back is fine he will have a kick ass year after all  he is on my team now ! Once I picked Darin up I followed the Angels like a hawk. That's how a girl from Oklahoma became the number one Angels fan. Even tho he plays for the astros Darin will always be the guy who turned me on to the Angels and for ever great full I have a baseball team to cheer on ...... and thanks to my good friend Craig who turned my life upside down for ever . little footnote Darin hit for 16 home runs that year :)
